Logo Exploration + Creation for 'Pretty Filthy'

Keegan came to us to redesign his logos with an exciting but suitable feel for everything he represents. We held an introductory design session with him to get all the necessary inspiration and direction needed to effectively complete this project. By the end of the project, we were able to create 2 main logos and 2 complimentary logos. Make sure to check his website out.

To My Dear Friends & Peers,
quite the year it’s been for us, huh? If you happen to be reading this, I love you!... and we made it; not to the end but to today. A proper blessing in itself, trust that for real. Fighting sucks and writing seems so futile at the moment - what with all the weird water gathering in my eyes and suppressed coughs stuck in throats, I look around and feel my people choking. Not solely from the literal flames and fumes of the smoulder around us, but something more pervasive still. The black mold of hopelessness came lurking and smogged the air up in frightening fashion. Futures long dreamt up came crashing in an instant. Frequencies surged to frantics and have remained as scrambled as we’ve ever seen, with folks foreign and local feeling the familiar burden of building friction in the atmosphere. Floors cracked beneath the strain as most of us entered into a free-falling state that may be far from over. Perhaps it’s just me but idk, pivotal appeared to be the motif of the year. I witnessed personally many people I admire and respect bloom and lean into their purpose. Many more were not as fortunate, witnessing only peril and pain. Again and again foundations crumbled and collective psyches ached from the never ending flurry of punches. They did everything to call the fight and send us packing. Yet, here we are. Unaltered in the face of this towering pyro. Essence unchanged as we continue onward down The Path.
Perseverance is just a part of the build. My people are not new to the pressure. Into the inferno feet first we can fling ourselves and still walk out fine. Trekking stiff terrain and steadily dodging fissures. Hardened not destroyed in the furnace. 2020 went up in a fire so fast and fierce it didn’t even have a chance to make smoke. Forcing myself to sit still and write this piece has been my first and only attempt at reflection so far and I find myself in awe at the vision. Resemblance of Redwoods in the Wildfire we withstood the horrors waiting in want to devour us. With everything in flux, I’m Pretty certain that there’s unfinished business afoot. And of course, we are nowhere near the end instead this is a fight for a new beginning; a Frontier, if you will.
Fake and fabricated materials will not sustain as this unrelenting year desperately decided to prove. Now more than ever it is important to find your footing and finish things once started, the humans of the world are waiting on your contributions. Protect your energy from loose exchanges and refuse the systemic fizzling out of your unique inspiration. Only individuality - not to be conflated with selfishness - can transcend the convoluted trappings of the status quo and melt them from within. Working with Kadeem and Samantha is only one circle of this full sphere moment that lent itself to me during this journey, and to their union I remain indebted. We reconnected at the top of the year before cracks had begun to fully appear in the infrastructure of 2020 and it led to a moment of serendipity that truly snowballed to the culmination of what you are about to finally see for yourself. The motivation material is plentiful, the resources unlimited. From the interactions to just the observation of all your fine movements, PrettyFilthy is simply the final form culmination of an idea I was once sold on: that this is all possible. A space to separate from socio-normative structures while providing inclusivity for those that lack it the most. A place to manifest and siphon ideas directly from your imagination to the screen or the page or whatever is the medium of choice. An immersive experience, not just a product or service or brand name but a family for those of us who often wander from home to home. We stand out alone and together we stay blending. Shedding season is here, my reptiles, and your transformation awaits you.
